what you described, your project definitely sounds like

educational projects in

likely to get your

don’t have all the
answers and don’t always know what tangible project fits
best with each
community’s needs. So, education and collaboration are
necessary components to
determining a solution.</div><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt;font-size:11pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"> </p><div style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;" class="">The

want to get even
more detailed, you could also send out a survey to all
attendees to get a sense
of what new knowledge attendees walked away with or what
actions they plan to
take/change in the future based on something the heard or
learned at the forum.
And you could also attempt to keep track of new
initiatives or projects that
developed directly from the collaborations at the

talk about it online. I
will think of some ideas
for a budget. <span class=""> </span><br class="">
But we don't have to
make things happen fully
by fall. The first leg
of<span class=""> </span><br class="">
the forum could be to
use the survey with some
sort of rewards to get<span class=""> </span><br class="">
people to fill it out,
then have an online
event to share the
outcome<span class=""> </span><br class="">
and work towards a
bigger event. Then
based on that
information we<span class=""> </span><br class="">
could hold the in-person
forum a year from this
summer or fall. We can<span class=""> </span><br class="">
brainstorm how all of
that could work. A
charging station or two<span class=""> </span><br class="">
wouldn't cost that much
(tops $2,000) but I
can't believe that the
forum<span class=""> </span><br class="">
wouldn't be seen as
something worth
investing in, plus
perhaps Dow would<span class=""> </span><br class="">
be interested in lending
us some of their
marketing talent to
promote<span class=""> </span><br class="">
the event and the
survey. We can ask for
lots of things I would
hope -<span class=""> </span><br class="">
besides just the
$10,000. Annie<br class="">

This looks like a
great opportunity.<br class="">

I like your idea
of the charging
station--although this
will likely benefit
only a few people.<br class="">
<br class="">
What about
planning a virtual
"Sustainability Forum"
for the fall (it's
unlikely that
in-person meetings
will be OK by then?
What are some costs
associated with the
Forum if it were
virtual?<br class="">

I was talking to
Michael Chisholm
today, and he told me
that DuPont is
offering grants for
sustainability
projects of up to
$10,000–locally. They
need to have an
in-house sponsor
(MICHAEL!!), and I
think he said the
deadline to apply is
June 6.<br class="">
<br class="">
Imagine what we could
pull off if we had up
to $10,000 to put on a
Sustainable Marietta
Forum!! But we can’t
even set a date for
that yet, so, let’s
come up with a
different idea. How
about this: an
electric car charging
station (or two) in
front of FUUSM that
(on sunny days) would
be powered by the
SUN—on the roof of the
sanctuary. Maybe we
could have a few small
panels installed on
posts—part of the
charging stations (?)
that connected to
FUUSMs system, too,
but more visible to
make it clear that
cars charged there
would be running on
SUNSHINE!!<br class="">
<br class="">
Of course, that’s just
my idea. Perhaps you
can come up with
something even better.<br class="">
<br class="">
Michael, will you
please tell us the
details of this grant,
and how we apply?<br class="">
