They were impressed that their facility manager had implemented measures that cut their carbon footprint by 20%, saving $15,000 a year.</p><p style="margin: 1em auto;" class="">The team applied for the Cool Congregations Certification to showcase to the congregation the effect of a few practices, such as switching to LED bulbs and adjusting the air handling components.<b class=""><span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>They hope the certification will encourage more energy efficiency measures in both the parish and at members’ homes.
