Thanks for the report on your chance meeting with Bill Johnson. It sounds like you had a pleasant interchange but one that was meaningful. I think I know what letter he is referring to where he was called a climate change denier.<br>

In any case Dave Ballantyne and I are meeting with Bill Johnson this Friday. I am trying to find some common ground with him about jobs and climate change.<br>

Please add the agenda for Green Sanctuary an idea that Annie Warmke and I have about buying & planting trees at Blue rock Station.<br>

(Before I get into the real purpose of this email, let me share with you that the Universe keeps directing me to drive down 5th Street when Congressman Bill Johnson is getting in or out of his car. On Saturday evening, he and his wife were getting out of their car as I was driving by. So I stopped, rolled down the window, and said “Congressman Johnson! Hello! Now, the real reason I’m writing: <br>

I hope to see all of you at the Just Dinner at 6 p.m. Friday. (I hope to see some of you at 5:30 to set up fellowship hall!)<br>

We have done nothing in the way of coordinating food. My current plan is to bring a winter squash and bean stew. Not certain, though. Nina Redd said she’d bring a kale salad. Yum.<br>
<br>
Also, our committee will meet Sunday at 12:30-ish. Please send agenda items I have forgotten to me by Thursday evening at 9 a.m. <br>
<br>
Here’s what I know we need to talk about:<br>

1. Annie has agreed to chair the meeting on February 16 (weather permitting), because I’ll be in Oregon, working (which means birding!!)<br>
<br>
2. Volunteer for Green Tips for March<br>
<br>
3. Need help with January 25 Build Your Own Solar Generator Class (unlocking and locking the door, helping Jay Warmke set up tables, getting out water glasses and plugging in the water cooler). <br>
<br>
4. CCL update<br>
<br>
5. Sustainability Forum Update<br>
I’ve signed us up for responsibility for the entire service on Sunday, April 5. <br>
<br>
6. Shade-grown coffee update? <br>
<br>
Other things I’ve forgotten about here.<br>
<br>
