Some recent and typical events we have undertaken include public screenings of environmental-themed films, staffing an Earth Day booth, encouraging and monitoring recycling at local events, letter-writing campaigns, gardening classes, “Just Dinners,” assisting with community meals to reduce waste, fund-raising for bigger projects, such as FUUSM’s solar array and energy-efficiency upgrades to the RE building, and much more. In addition to participating in these events, GSC members are often called upon to brainstorm on our activities and projects.
