I appreciate you and Tim so much!<div> Also, thank you for the thorough run down on all things Green Sanctuary. It is obvious you care and are committed. </div><div> Betsy and I will donate another $25 to the solar match. I will put in a check for Sunday’s collection. </div><div> Supporting the good work of Friends of the Lower Muskingum is a very good use of limited resources. Wonderful small group. </div><div> MOVCA also has many UU and friends deeply involved, so I think support there also is good. <br> March 24 also is the nationwide student-led protest against assault weapons and other threats to schools. </div><div> I will write Green Tips for orders of service and deliver them to Chris for March. </div><div> A tour of Blue Rock Station would be marvelous, perhaps some Saturday this spring. I was able to introduce Annie to Chris Hoke and Al Tuttle. They have much in common and we are fortunate that they have sought us out. They bring wonder life perspectives and offer us connections in areas outside our immediate valley. </div><div> I have a check to write and Green Tips to ponder. Thank you again for your wonderful leadership and humanity. </div><div> Roger<br><div id="AppleMailSignature">Sent from my iPhone</div><div><br>On Feb 19, 2018, at 9:36 PM, Dawn Hewitt via Green <<a href="mailto:green@fuusm.org">green@fuusm.org</a>> wrote:<br><br></div><blockquote type="cite"><div><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">Dear Green friends,<div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">What a bummer that flooding forced cancellation of our meeting Sunday, and postponement of two of our Winter Gardening classes. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">So, here’s some of what I hoped we’d discuss at our meeting. Once again, please make yourself comfortable. I suspect this will be lengthy. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">1. Post mortem of our Just Dinner fundraiser. As best I can tell, our efforts raised $335. That includes both those who signed up at the service auction, plus those who signed up late. Tucked securely into my choir folder I have $60 in checks and $140 in cash collected Friday evening. I’ll turn it in to George or Steve Meyer or Linda Lawton or Kat or Shari ASAP (although I won’t be in church Sunday). </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">So, was our effort worth $335? </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">2. Our Faithify campaign is stalled at $811, but we still have 43 days to reach $2,000. Please encourage your friends and family to help out. Seriously. I will, too.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">3. Linda Lawton told me that as of last week, the Solar Match Fund stands at $8,200! When we reach our Faithify goal, we’ll have reached our target! I have a few names of folks for Kelcey to send thank-you notes to, including one recent, generous donor. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">4. Do we want to renew our memberships in Friends of the Lower Muskingum River ($50) and the Ohio Environmental Council ($25)? I think we do, but we really ought to vote on this expenditure of funds. Do we want to make a donation to MOVCA or Keep Wayne Wild? Should we hold of until the March 18 meeting to vote on this? </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">5. Jean Ambrose has agreed to provide the reflection for the March 18 service as a, sort of, preview of the climate change talks she will co-lead for Adult RE classes in April. We might have other responsibilities for that service. Not sure yet. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">6. Do we want to have a role in the April 22 (Earth Day) service?</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">7. Earth Hour is Saturday, March 24. MOVCA might be having an event in Parkersburg, FYI. I will not be having an Earth Hour gathering at my house this year, since I’ll be leaving for Mexico the next day.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">8. Does anyone want to volunteer for March’s Green Tips? </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">9. Annie Warnke owns Blue Rock Station (please visit <a href="http://bluerockstation.com/" class="">http://bluerockstation.com/</a> and hold onto your hat!). She is a new friend of FUUSM, and would like to get involved with Green Sanctuary, but it’s far from here, and her livestock and other obligations mean she can’t come every Sunday, and probably can’t help too often with local events. But she is a dynamo of energy, and has some great ideas for projects for us. I spoke to her during coffee hour a few weeks ago, and man! How I wish she lived closer. But seriously, we need to take a field trip to see her farm! </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">10. Here’s another thing that needs discussion, and soon. MOVCA has proposed that they and we co-sponsor a candidate forum focusing exclusively on climate change and other environmental issues at their April 19 meeting in Parkersburg. I’m not sure we could get Ohio candidates to attend a candidate forum in West Virginia, but we could try. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">So, how to proceed with so much to discuss? </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Do you think we could/should have a GSC meeting after coffee hour on March 4? (I’m out of town this weekend.) Or can we discuss this via email? Your input, please!! </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Thanks!</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">—dawn</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><br class=""></div></div></blockquote><blockquote type="cite"><div><span>_______________________________________________</span><br><span>Green mailing list</span><br><span><a href="mailto:Green@fuusm.org">Green@fuusm.org</a></span><br><span><a href="http://fuusm.org/mailman/listinfo/green_fuusm.org">http://fuusm.org/mailman/listinfo/green_fuusm.org</a></span></div></blockquote></div></body></html>
