I am making an executive decision because Wendy Morey needs the auction forms today.

Because several more people committed to chipping in for food prep, let’s offer the February 16 Just Dinner as a fixed price silent auction item: $15 for those who sign up at the auction, and $20 for those who sign up later.

We can make explicit plans for who is bringing what, so it’s not a pot luck. And, George, while I agree that the Green Sanctuary ought to focus our fund-raising for our own projects and initiatives (or to contribute to environmental causes such as FLMR and
the Ohio Environmental Action Group), FUUSM is paying for curb-side recycling because we asked them to. FUUSM endorses and encourages the Green Sanctuary Committee, and embraces the Seventh Principle. I think this gesture, of using our Just Dinner to raise
money for our parent group, is the right thing to do. And remember last year, we had a bunch of FUUSM members and friends attend who don’t usually attend Just Dinners—maybe because they haven’t thought about eating mindfully. So attending a Just Dinner catered
by us folks who do try to eat mindfully might inspire others to do so, too.

We can also cap the dinner at, say, 20 people. Then, with us Greenies in attendance also, we’ll be cooking for a known number, and probably around 30 people. With six or eight or more of us contributing to a planned menu with assignments, it won’t be that much
of a challenge to pull off.

I hope you agree with me on this!

Thank you all for your input and offers of help.
