(I’ll attach them right now, so I don’t forget! Ha!) We will vote on them at our May 21 meeting. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Even before the meeting, let’s work on a plan for soliciting funds for the matching grant for more solar, such as:</div><div class=""><ul class=""><li class="">A press release for the newspaper</li><li class="">A brochure similar to the stained-glass window campaign</li><li class="">A story in CLUTCH MOV</li><li class="">A press release to WTAP and WMOA</li><li class="">Other ideas?</li></ul></div><div class="">Any volunteers to work on these and other ideas?</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Here are the details George and the anonymous benefactor agreed upon:</div><div class=""><ol class=""><li class="">The donor will place the $10,000 in the Marietta Community Foundation—soon.</li><li class="">We ill set up a special fund (off our operational budget) in the FUUSM budget to collect the match. George has discussed this with FUUSM treasurer Linda Lawton, and we’re set to go. </li><li class="">The time period will be one year. We launched the campaign Earth Day weekend and end it on Earth day, 2018 (also April 22). At that time the donor will match as much money as is collected up to $10,000. If we raise the $10K before that date, the donor can release the funds at that point.</li><li class="">The donor will match all donations (dollar for dollar) up to $10,000. (So if we don’t reach $10,000, we can still afford a smaller installation.)</li><li class="">We could invite donations (checks made out to FUUSM with "solar panel match" in the memo line) immediately or ask people to make a pledge of donation to be realized by April 22, 2018 (we would need a pledge form).</li></ol><div class="">Any volunteers to prepare a pledge form? It could be simple, and could be one panel of the brochure.</div></div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">I am going to be traveling a lot (four trips!) in the next two months, but I will be here for the GSC meeting on May 21.
