<p>I found Oberlin Ohio's "Climate Action Plan" on line. Oberlin is of interest, because they are a small city (8400 population), located in Loraine County, Ohio, and the home of Oberlin College. They have been active on Climate since 2001. Their 2013 Action
Plan gives their "goals" as; 50% reduction by 2015 from 2007 baseline, 75% by 2030, 100% (net zero) by 2050. Since 2015 is now past and only 2 years after the 2013 goal, it would be interesting to learn from their experience and relative achievement towards
the 2015 goal.</p>

The plan is 33 megs, and too big to e:mail. You can retrieve a copy on-line at oberlin ohio GHG. I haven't read it yet.

It seems to me that focusing our green efforts on local governments will be more productive in the near future than trying to push these initiatives nationally--federal initiatives will be minimal for reducing GHG emissions and promoting renewables.<br>
<br>
I noticed that only one Ohio city (Columbus) was listed in the appendix for cities making a commitment to reduce GHG emissions by a certain date. It would be good if Marietta could join that list. I didn't see any WV cities on that list.

Do you think Marietta City would be willing to adopt the Five Milestone approach?<br>
