George,
Mahalo for doing such good research and composing a concise, readable letter. I will save it for future reference. So many good points that get at the heart of the current dialog. We are very blessed to have such a clear thinker among us.

Debra

On Monday, February 8, 2016, gbanz42--- via Green <green@fuusm.org> wrote:

Green Sanctuary Friends:
Roger Kalter and Mike Bailey asked me to compose and send a letter to the Marietta Times about their article in Saturday's paper, "This Winter has Everyone Confused." At first I was reluctant to do so because just last week I sent the MTimes a piece on another topic. Upon reflection, however, I think this opportunity that the Times has given us to speak about climate change is just the kind of event we discussed at the Jan 30 meeting to get the word out about climate change.
I sent the attached letter to the Times this morning.
I'm sorry not to send the draft for others to review, but I think immediacy and currency are important when responding to newspaper articles so I wanted to get it to the Times as soon as I could.
I would encourage others to send letters as well. Multiple letters, I think, can have an exponential effect.
