<div dir="ltr">Hopefully my Friend, Charlotte Owens does not mind my sharing this link with all of you. Tomorrow, she will be hosting a small training/workshop based on peer listening and race relations. I think what she is sharing is important for all of us and for all of our relationships with others. Charlotte is an amazing person that I deeply respect for her knowledge and sincerity. Take a look and see if you would like to join us on Zoom. The session starts at 11:30, so it does overlap with our UU service. However, I think this may be of interest to you.<div><br></div><div>Kelcey<br><br><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_attr">---------- Forwarded message ---------<br>From: <strong class="gmail_sendername" dir="auto">Jean Ambrose</strong> <span dir="auto"><<a href="mailto:jeanambrose8@gmail.com" target="_blank">jeanambrose8@gmail.com</a>></span><br>Date: Thu, Jan 28, 2021 at 11:30 AM<br>Subject: LINKS for First Day Meeting, Jan 31, 2021 10:00 AM and Peer Listening Workshop<br>To: Ted Goertzel <<a href="mailto:tedgoertzel@gmail.com" target="_blank">tedgoertzel@gmail.com</a>>, Tracey Westfall <<a href="mailto:tracey@pinehillpottery.com" target="_blank">tracey@pinehillpottery.com</a>>, Ken Westfall <<a href="mailto:kenneth@pinehillpottery.com" target="_blank">kenneth@pinehillpottery.com</a>>, Barbara Marquess <<a href="mailto:marquessb@gmail.com" target="_blank">marquessb@gmail.com</a>>, Douglas Mitchell <<a href="mailto:t_geek@hotmail.com" target="_blank">t_geek@hotmail.com</a>>, Linda Bertsche <<a href="mailto:lbertsche@msn.com" target="_blank">lbertsche@msn.com</a>>, Kim Kramer <<a href="mailto:Kimkramer1@gmail.com" target="_blank">Kimkramer1@gmail.com</a>>, cc: Jane Hearne <<a href="mailto:janehearnewv@gmail.com" target="_blank">janehearnewv@gmail.com</a>>, Charlotte Owens <<a href="mailto:cowensus@yahoo.com" target="_blank">cowensus@yahoo.com</a>>, Kelcey Jacobs <<a href="mailto:cvspedteacher@gmail.com" target="_blank">cvspedteacher@gmail.com</a>>, Chris Jacobs, PE <<a href="mailto:jacobsc4@asme.org" target="_blank">jacobsc4@asme.org</a>>, Phil Washburn <<a href="mailto:jpwashburn@att.net" target="_blank">jpwashburn@att.net</a>>, Cindy Taylor <<a href="mailto:cwtaylor50@gmail.com" target="_blank">cwtaylor50@gmail.com</a>>, Bill Leuschel <<a href="mailto:hawkleuschel@yahoo.com" target="_blank">hawkleuschel@yahoo.com</a>>, Wendy Tuck <<a href="mailto:wendytuck5@gmail.com" target="_blank">wendytuck5@gmail.com</a>>, Gene Hearne <<a href="mailto:genehearne@gmail.com" target="_blank">genehearne@gmail.com</a>>, Kathy Binner <<a href="mailto:kathybinner@sbcglobal.net" target="_blank">kathybinner@sbcglobal.net</a>><br></div><br><br><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><div style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif">Here's the link below for Charleston Friends Meeting this Sunday. <span style="background-color:rgb(255,255,0)">Please remember they start at 10:00</span></div><div style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif"><span style="background-color:rgb(255,255,0)"><br></span></div><div style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif"><span style="background-color:rgb(255,255,255)">They meet for one hour. Everyone has absorbed those ideas, even if we work to reject them, so we should not be surprised nor harsh with ourselves when we recognize another one popping out of our subconscious. How do we use some tools to learn more about racism in order to dismantle it and heal the injuries to people of color and ourselves? This 45-minute to 1 hour training will look at how we can do peer listening with another understanding person to look at how we are good, where we make mistakes, and how we can show love for ourselves, other white people, and people of color.</span></div><div style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif"><span style="background-color:rgb(255,255,255)"><br></span></div><div style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif"><span style="background-color:rgb(255,255,255)">Here's that link: </span></div><div style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif"><br></div><div style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif"><p style="font-family:"Helvetica Neue",Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px"><b>Topic: Peer listening around Race</b></p><p style="font-family:"Helvetica Neue",Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px">Time: Jan 31, 2021 11:30 AM Eastern Time (US and Canada)</p><p style="font-family:"Helvetica Neue",Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px"><span style="background-color:rgb(255,255,0)">Join Zoom Meeting</span></p><p style="font-family:"Helvetica Neue",Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px"><span style="background-color:rgb(255,255,0)"><a href="https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83832965850" target="_blank">https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83832965850</a></span></p><p style="font-family:"Helvetica Neue",Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px"><span style="background-color:rgb(255,255,0)">Meeting ID: 838 3296 5850</span></p><p style="font-family:"Helvetica Neue",Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px">One tap mobile</p><p style="font-family:"Helvetica Neue",Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px">+13017158592,,83832965850# US (Washington DC)</p><p style="font-family:"Helvetica Neue",Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px">Dial by your location</p><p style="font-family:"Helvetica Neue",Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px"><span style="background-color:rgb(255,255,0)"> +1 301 715 8592 US (Washington DC)</span></p><p style="font-family:"Helvetica Neue",Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px">Meeting ID: 838 3296 5850</p><p style="font-family:"Helvetica Neue",Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px"><br></p><p style="font-family:"Helvetica Neue",Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px">"See" you soon.</p></div><br><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_attr">---------- Forwarded message ---------<br>From: <strong class="gmail_sendername" dir="auto">Roger Wise</strong> <span dir="auto"><<a href="mailto:rbwise45@gmail.com" target="_blank">rbwise45@gmail.com</a>></span><br>Date: Wed, Jan 27, 2021 at 9:00 PM<br>Subject: First Day Meeting, Jan 31, 2021 10:00 AM<br></div>Topic: First Day Meeting<br>
