I understand well how frustrating and limiting they can be. The longer some of us live, the more we seem to accumulate! Take good care of yourself. Your son's problem is one that is also difficult to deal with from both his perspective and yours. His struggle is one that takes great courage. My thoughts and prayers are with both of you. </div><div> I was alarmed to read that you think you may be an (asymptomatic ) carrier of the COVID-19 virus. It would be in everyone's best interest if you and others with this possible condition not travel and expose other unsuspecting people to what might be a minor problem for you, but what could be a major problem for them. The scientific community is still in the process of determining how asymptomatic carriers shed (transmit) the virus and for how long. </div><div> Be sure to keep your son's apartment sanitized, and avoid close contact with him (or anyone). Get your son immediate treatment , should he show symptoms, and let the medical team know of your experience in Cleveland. This is a time when we all must show the greatest of care- for our own sake and that of others who come into our lives. I had certain symptoms...but no fever... so I did NOT qualify for the COVID-19 test here in Washington County even though:</div><div style="margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px" dir="ltr">1. I am 70 years old</div><div style="margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px" dir="ltr">2. I live with a brain tumor</div><div style="margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px" dir="ltr">3. Have fibromyalgia for more than 20 years</div><div style="margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px" dir="ltr">4. Have obstructive sleep apnea</div><div style="margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px" dir="ltr">5. Have chronic sinus infections and surgeries</div><div style="margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px" dir="ltr">6. The thing I am most concerned about is that I could have been a carrier/spreader before I quarantined myself. I certainly hope not!!! Because I believe I should have qualified for the test, I already took action and called Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown to launch my complaint!</div><div style="margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px" dir="ltr"><br></div><div style="margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px" dir="ltr">Right now I am in Canton, OH visiting my eldest wayward son, who had been homeless for over a year, but now has his own apartment. After getting out of prison three years ago, it seemed that he was getting his life back together...but that hasn't happened yet. His problems with his life are not drugs and alcohol...but I believe it is mental illness, probably bi-polar, that he won't address. Still hoping and praying that this time he will take the responsibilities himself. I am his mother and love him but I won't take those responsibilities. His name, Geoffrey, means God's peace.
