I’m so sorry. I was planning to go to a party last night, but because I’ve had the sniffles for more than a week, I decided to take a COVID test. I failed. It was positive. I’m so sorry. If you were near me in the past few days, you were likely exposed. I tested negative three times in the past 10 days—starting at the onset of the sniffles. I figured in these days of COVID it’s still possible to have just a mild cold, and that’s what I assumed I had. I have not felt feverish or tired; food tastes delicious—my only symptom is sniffles and an occasional sneeze, but no coughing. I still feel fine—like I have a mild cold. </div><div><br></div><div>So the FUUSM office will probably be closed for a few days. I’ll stop by today to update the wayside pulpit, and work as I can from home. Even though I feel fine, I’ll stay home. Whenever I am out and about I will wear a KN-95 mask for 5 days after I test negative. I’m just sorry I haven’t been wearing a mask for the past week. Even if it was just a cold I wouldn’t want to share those germs with you, either. </div><div><br></div><div>For the record, I am fully vaccinated; I got the most recent COVID booster in September. I credit that for my symptoms being so mild. </div><div><br></div><div>Again, I apologize deeply and sincerely to those who were in close contact with me. If you get the sniffles or any other possible COVID symptom, please test. Then test again two days later. Then consider testing two days later. And please consider masking up while COVID is rearing its ugly head again. </div><div><br></div><div>You can order free COVID tests online at <a href="https://special.usps.com/testkits">https://special.usps.com/testkits</a>.<br><br>—dawn</div></div></div><br><div dir="ltr">Sent from my iPad</div></body></html>
