<br>Dear FUUSM Members and Friends:<div><br></div><div>With cold weather fast approaching, a few of us recently discussed what FUUSM could <span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;">do for the needy in our community. </span><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;">Shari Ballantyne suggested collecting warm clothing, an idea that had been discussed prior to COVID. </span></div><div><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"></span></div><div><br></div><div>On Saturday, November 18, the Fellowship Hall is not booked for any other events, so we have asked Dawn to put this on the books. We’ll put up a sign on the fence a few days prior so that the word gets out. </div><div><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"><br></span></div><div>The <span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;">Fellowship Hall will be open from 11 am to 3 pm on Thursday, November 16, and Friday, November 17, </span><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;">for drop off of your gently worn items. </span><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;">Anyone who wants to help sort and curate -</span><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;">especially on </span><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;">Friday - is VERY welcome. I’m sure we’ll have some snacks and the coffee pot will be on. </span><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"></span></div><div><br></div><div>We hope to collect clothing for all genders and ages, including shoes, socks, hats, scarves and gloves. It was also suggested that blankets, throws and backpacks would be appreciated and useful. </div><div><br></div><div>Shari and I will take responsibility for seeing that leftovers are donated where they might be most needed, and we’ll be open to suggestions. </div><div><br></div><div>Anyone who has donations but cannot drop them off during the specified time frames may call Shari or me to make other arrangements. </div><div><br></div><div>We’ll be sending out reminders, but please make a note to participate in this worthy effort.
