on August 23, went well. Attendance was
36 voting members. Five more speakers
read prepared statements of first-hand experiences. We heard a summary of the Board’s Ministerial
Performance Review Process and a summary of the last evaluation. And we had a period of open discussion on the
minister’s performance. Once again,
participants listened and respected each other even when they disagreed.

performance: Acknowledgement of past
mistakes; and Changes for the future.
Three other issues are about congregational governance: the role and
responsibility of the congregation; the current Conflict Resolution Procedure;
and Congregational Meetings on the Minister’s Performance. If time permits, we will address two other
issues: Report of the results of the Board’s Ministerial Performance Review
Process to the Congregation; and Modifications to that Review Process.

help us focus on the issues and make decisions in a timely manner. We suggest you review the attached copy of
the Conflict Resolution Procedure to prepare for the meeting.

statements of the group’s position on these issues or recommendations to the
Board for action. As follow-up, we plan
to issue an email to the congregation (and by extension, the Board) reporting
those statements and recommendations.
