Ted; I appreciated the articles on the UUA general assembly and
Dawn's piece. It's refreshing to read about other things besides
the government or the two national political parties. Thanks for
including those things in the CONFLUENCE. Annie
have had a brief news story about the dialog session since
it was one of the significant events in our community.
That's different from my opinion, I think the distinction
between a news story and an opinion column is important.
But this depends on whether you want to see Confluence
become more like a newsmagazine, with news and opinion
stories, or do you just want it to be a calendar of
events?

the dialogue sessions in the September Confluence, after
both meetings have been held. For Confluence, it would be
best if one of the organizers would write something. That
is how Confluence usually works, the people involved in
each activity write the stories. If there is a lot of
material, such as the written statements many participants
prepared for the dialogue session, or other
opinion pieces, I can post them in a separate file and
link to them from Confluence itself. But maybe we want to
treat this as a hush hush personnel matter and not put it
in Confluence. I don't think Confluence has readers in
the community outside the church, I'm not even sure how
many members read it. I'm not going to produce separate
issues, one for the members and one for the public, it
would be too much trouble and people would have to access
it through the members only page on <a
