    <p style="margin-bottom: 0in"><font face="Arial, sans-serif"><font
          size="3">Over
          the last few years, many of us in our congregation have looked
          forward to working on a holiday season service project
          designed by
          John Maddox. John brought us all together - young and old(er)
          in the
          Social Hall after the worship service for a "workshop"
          where we wrote messages of love and holiday cheer on cards
          that would
          be distributed to residents in area nursing care facilities. </font></font>
    </p>
    <p style="margin-bottom: 0in"><font face="Arial, sans-serif"><font
          size="3">As
          the virus is running rampant once again, gatherings at the
          church are
          ill-advised, so an after services workshop get-together won't
          be
          possible. We want to keep everyone safe, but we don't want to
          let the
          project be canceled by COVID, so we're asking everyone to help
          make
          it happen by organizing it in a different way.</font></font>
    </p>
    <p style="margin-bottom: 0in"><font size="+1" face="Arial,
        sans-serif"><b>Here's
          what we think will work:</b></font>
    </p>
    <p style="margin-bottom: 0in"><font face="Courier New, monospace"><font
          size="2"><font face="Arial, sans-serif"><font size="3"><b>-
                John has generously donated almost 900 cards</b></font></font><font
            face="Arial, sans-serif"><font size="3">
              for us to fill with happy seasonal greetings! All we need
              to do is
              add the greetings and sign the cards. No stamps required!
              Someone on
              the organizing team will combine your cards with others
              and deliver
              them to the local nursing homes.</font></font></font></font>
    </p>
    <p style="margin-bottom: 0in"><font face="Courier New, monospace"><font
          face="Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif"><b>-
            Schedule an at-home card-writing workshop!</b></font></font><font
        face="Courier New, monospace"><font size="2"><font face="Arial,

    <p style="margin-bottom: 0in"><font face="Courier New, monospace"><font
          size="2"><font face="Arial, sans-serif"><font size="3">Beginning
            </font></font><font face="Arial, sans-serif"><font size="3"><b>November
                29th</b></font></font><font face="Arial, sans-serif"><font
              size="3">,
              packets of 30 -50 cards and envelopes will be ready for
              you to pick
              up from the church office on days when Chris Keller is in.
              (Reminder:
              The office is closed on Tuesdays.) Packets will include a
              sheet of
              suggested greetings that you may add to the cards. </font></font><font
            face="Arial, sans-serif"><font size="3"><b>Some
                packets will be indicated for families with young ones,</b></font></font><font
            face="Arial, sans-serif"><font size="3">
              because they will also include holiday-themed coloring
              sheets that
              can be a special gift for children to add with the cards.
              (Of course
              they can also do their own original art work if they'd
              prefer.)</font></font></font></font></p>
    <p style="margin-bottom: 0in"><font face="Arial, sans-serif"><font
          size="3"><b>-
            Return your finished cards to the church office by December
            10.</b></font></font></p>
    <p style="margin-bottom: 0in"><font face="Arial, sans-serif"><font
          size="3">When
          your cards are completed and signed, slide them into the
          envelopes,
          put them back in your packet, and return the packet to the
          office. </font></font>
