Ted; Please don't blame yourself. I believe people are worried
- it's human nature to worry when you don't feel in control. My
concern was the lack of effective communication after the board
met. I think it's vital to be able to listen to people's concerns
and then utilize logic to decide how to handle it. My other
concern is that we care for our own first, and then for others -
just like the instructions on the airline if there's an emergency.

I am unsure that it was necessary to "turn out" AA but I do
think the problem potentially is greater then AA once a week
entering downstairs because it seems there have been people
regularly entering the office, and possibly downstairs. If the
task force can establish some basic guidelines that everyone
understands exist as a baseline for future activities I think this
will help waylay concerns. It seems likely that the next few
weeks will prove that we are on the right track with where we're
going with planning.

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. Annie

It seems like there are some folks who aren't OK with the
decision to open the building up, even though it is an
important group. I'm wondering the reason that there
can't be a canopy erected in the court yard for AA and the
cover can be removed after the meeting and put back on the
next week for their get together. It feels disingenuous
to have a ZOOM meeting where several people including Al
Tuttle made some great points as to the reasons we should
wait to open up the building, and then the board decides
to open up the building without making an announcement to
us. We have a responsibility to our vulnerable members to
do the best we can to protect them, don't we? I know AA
is vital to some folks lives but it seems like there are
possible temporary solutions if enough people put their
brains together. Annie Warmke

I have been following this email. First off, I am
upset for so many reasons not just what is happening
in my UU church. To make sure I am clear -- the
physical building that I am supporting by my financial
support of the UU organization that I am currently
not able to use for church business / activities is
being offered for use by outside organizations that
are not complying with the recommended guidelines. For
me this does not seem right. What am I to do? I guess
I need to reevaluate the position?

FUUSM members,

Please sign your name when your reply. Its hard
to keep track of who is saying what. Bruce & I
did not attend the zoom board meeting, but we
appreciate the concerns Annie Warmke has raised
below. It seems like members of the church are
cancelling our events at FUUSM & our
committees & discussion groups are meeting via
zoom, etc …..., but we are opening events to
outside groups without compliance of best
practices.
