After I responded to this I changed my mind. I want to speak
honestly so we can think about this...I realize people are
suffering, and it's going to get tougher to watch, but it seems
like we could put our heads together and figure out how to work
through the front line people who are trained to do this work.
Lots of you are brilliant folks who have the potential to create
something without putting yourselves at risk. This is a long-term
issue that's going to last for perhaps a year, especially if we
don't work together with the folks who are already out there doing
the work.

I've spent some time looking for reliable material to begin to
consider what's possible for our business, and how soon we could
imagine having people wanting to spend money to take classes (not
to visit in person) and it's clear that the virus has many stages
and that people are not taking the shut down seriously.

If people are going to the grocery and then to the church they
are not staying put. This endangers your health, and perhaps the
health of others by potentially exposing yourself to spreading the
virus by carrying the germs even if you don't have symptoms, or by
contracting the virus from someone else.

Over time this is the scene that plays into spreading the virus
until more and more people have some version of it. It's not just
a one time thing with a big spike or a flat line.

Let's throw around some ideas, as Shari pointed out there are two
groups that come to mind that are trying to feed people, and
create a plan that helps everybody have the potential to stay as
safe as possible. Annie

The Greater Marietta Community Food Pantry, now located at the
Broughton Building Complex on Rt. 821, is well suited to
meeting the needs of food insecurity. In town, the Gospel
Mission, located on the west side, is trying to meet this need
as well. Is it possible to coordinate some effort with one of
these two groups?
offering of what kind of food doesn't matter, just a food.
