His beloved wife of 64 years, Else and their children and grandchildren have all our sympathy and love as we remember them and their many active years with our congregation.</span></div><div style="margin: 0px; font-size: 14px; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; -webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; min-height: 16px;" class=""><span style="font-kerning: none" class=""></span><br class=""></div><div style="margin: 0px; font-size: 14px; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; -webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial;" class=""><span style="font-kerning: none" class="">I found Sam to be quite a colorful character, an engaging storyteller, well-read and well-travelled and a good-natured guy. I never saw his picture on a Smuckers jar, though he was a 101 years old (so it is told). </span></div><div style="margin: 0px; font-size: 14px; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; -webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; min-height: 16px;" class=""><span style="font-kerning: none" class=""></span><br class=""></div><div style="margin: 0px; font-size: 14px; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; -webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial;" class=""><span style="font-kerning: none" class="">Else & Sam formally joined F.U.U.S.M. in 1987 and served in so many ways. I treasure the times I was able to take tea in the drawing room of their Market Street home in Parkersburg, WV.
