I hope you are all doing great.</div><div dir="auto" class=""><br class=""></div><div dir="auto" class="">I am writing to inform you l was at US Embassy yesterday to get a visa in preparation for the up coming book tour about my work in Cameroon. My visa was denied without any concrete explanation. The consular officer did not ask for my invitation letter nor about the book tour and in stead was wandering why l am taking such a long time away from my job. He just pushed my passport and told me l am not qualified to get a visa to USA.</div><div dir="auto" class=""><br class=""></div><div dir="auto" class="">The book tour is scheduled for spring 2019 for 3 months and Miranda and Baptiste Paul ( Authors ) who are Paying for my trip and lodging throughout the tour wanted me to get this visa earlier so they can book my flight in advance.</div><div dir="auto" class=""><br class=""></div><div dir="auto" class="">I was told l could reapply again for further examination. One of the main reasons (which l guess) the visa was denied is because due to the crisis that has been going on for two years in English Cameroon, thousands of people just want to leave the country for good. </div><div dir="auto" class=""><br class=""></div><div dir="auto" class="">But as far as l am concern, this book tour is a very important for me to inspire thousands of children a cross the US and also to create opportunities for young people in USA to visit Cameroon in future and join us in our on going grassroots projects. I have a family back here ( wife with three kids ) etc. We live in our own home and despite the crisis, l don't see any reason to abandone my family to escape. You can never run away from problems, but rather face them.</div><div dir="auto" class=""><br class=""></div><div dir="auto" class="">I am therefore writing if each and everyone of you could please drop a note at the Consular Section of the US Embassy in Cameroon to appeal to them to reconsider my situation and grant my visa? Miranda and other networks in USA have written to the Ambassador in Cameroon as well.
