<P style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt" class=MsoNormal><FONT face=Arial>This weekend
(Sat. Dec. 3) we mourn the deaths and celebrate the lives of two long-time
members- Caroline W. Putnam and Alberto Prince.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>The service for Caroline is at FUUSM at
1:30pm.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>The service for Alberto
Prince is at 11am at the UU Church in St. Petersburg, FL., which is the winter
home of Alberto & Anna Prince.<o:p></o:p></FONT></P>
<P style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt" class=MsoNormal><o:p><FONT
face=Arial> </FONT></o:p></P>
<P style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt" class=MsoNormal><FONT face=Arial>Alberto Prince
was married for 64 years to wife Anna, a beloved artist whose influence and
spirit is felt here at FUUSM and in the wider Marietta community even in her
absence.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>They both lived life to
the fullest and have been a wonderful example of sharing life, even though
physical challenges have made that difficult.<o:p></o:p></FONT></P>
<P style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt" class=MsoNormal><o:p><FONT
face=Arial> </FONT></o:p></P>
<P style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt" class=MsoNormal><FONT face=Arial>Alberto Prince
would have struck up a conversation about the death of Fidel Castro, posing
queries in his provocative way.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>I
recall many such questions and exchanges as we washed coffee cups in the
kitchen.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>It was his way of enjoying
service and sharing work- in the kitchen, or at the ball park.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Many here in Marietta recall his role as
a psychology professor at Marietta College, a teacher and mentor for many.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>He was active in the UU Film Group, and
Sunday morning discussion group.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Al
was clearly an agnostic/atheist, not so much undecided as unconvinced.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>I never found him aggressive in his
opinions, rather he delighted in debate, and vigorous inquiry was his
"spiritual" practice.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>We miss him
very much here in Marietta, OH.<o:p></o:p></FONT></P>
<P style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt" class=MsoNormal><o:p><FONT
face=Arial> </FONT></o:p></P>
<P style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt" class=MsoNormal><FONT face=Arial>Our love for
Anna is immense and we join her whole family in remembering and honoring Alberto
Prince. <o:p></o:p></FONT></P>
<P style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt" class=MsoNormal><o:p><FONT
face=Arial> </FONT></o:p></P>
