Welcoming Congregation

The Welcoming Congregation Program is a volunteer program for Unitarian Universalist congregations that want to take intentional steps to become more welcoming and inclusive of people of all sexual orientations and gender identities. (http://www.uua.org/lgbt/welcoming/program/)

Here at the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Marietta, we are a welcoming congregation.  We embrace people of all ages, abilities, colors, sexes, economic classes, sexual orientations and gender identities.  We continue to educate and learn so we can minister to and advocate for those who are marginalized.  We hope for a future where oppression be it overt or subtle—will be a thing of the past.
