Loving Gifts

February 17 11am - Rev. Kathryn Hawbaker Worship Associate: Gene Barry

Category: Sunday Services

Let us be grateful for all those who nurtured us with their loving gifts. From the first days of welcome and care, sacrifice and guidance, we grow in gratitude for the lives of others who loved us. Our unique gifts, cultivated through exploration, expression, and challenge; our success a result of shared endeavors, love and support. In the end, there is resilience, love, and acceptance, final gifts and loving farewell. We give thanks… “When it’s over, I don’t want to wonder if I have made of my life something particular, and real. I don’t want to find myself sighing and frightened, or full of argument. I don’t want to end up simply having visited this world.” - excerpt from When Death Comes by Mary Oliver • Green Sanctuary Committee Meeting in the Parlor, 12:30 p.m.
