"New Leaders Challenge Our Assumptions"

Oct.7 11am - - Rev. Kathryn Hawbaker Worship Associate: Martha McGovern
Category: Sunday Services

The Unitarian Universalist Association has moved through several phases of leadership, continually asking questions about our cultural expectations. Although at FUUSM we value continuity with our traditions, we balance that with innovation and new paradigms for how we can grow in spiritual depth as a healthy congregation. Let us also turn our attention to the our current UUA Study/Action Issue: The Corruption of Our Democracy. • The first Sunday in October has long been associated with the teachings of St. Francis of Assisi and his reverence for non-human life as an essential gift. You are invited to bring a photograph of your animal friend to the 11:00 service OR bring live animals to the courtyard at 2:00 p.m. • Social Justice Forum: "Animal Rights and Justice," 1:00 - 2:00 p.m., Social Hall • Blessing of the Animals, 2:00 p.m. in the Courtyard - Bring your live animals to be blessed in the courtyard from 2:00-3:00 p.m. For the safety of all creatures, please use carriers and leashes. The public is invited to participate, so tell your friends and neighbors.
