January 28 "The People's State of the Union" Worship Leader: Jane Tumas-Serna Worship Associate: Tabatha Hubbard The President delivers a State of the Union Address to Congress every January. Our social justice groups seem to reflect a different perspective this year. What we need is a People's State of the Union, one where some of our members could begin to tell their story of Keeping the Wayne Wild, or protecting the environment or the LGBTQ community -- because Democracy is a conversation, not a monologue. This participatory service gives us the opportunity to communicate through Story Circles the state of the union as we the people see it. (See Page 6 for more information about this initiative.)
